A Gathering of Heroes

“A Gathering of Heroes: Stone County Stories” is an original production written by Tonya Hayes based on the oral history of Stone County collected by the Telling Trees project in collaboration with the Stone County Arts Council.  The play is about a young man searching for a hero in his community for a school project and finding that not only are there many everyday heroes in his community, but he finds the knowledge that he too can be a hero for others.
