Chef Walter Smith is a certified executive chef through the American Culinary Federation. Chef Walter works at Harrah’s Casino in New Orleans. He has 30 years’ experience that include restaurants, buffets, banquets, catering, teaching, consulting, and disaster relief. Chef Walter is a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He has spent most of his career on the coast with the exception of when he worked in Jackson, MS at the Governor’s Mansion for the Musgrove administration. In addition, he workedin California at the Morongo Casino for a few years before returning home to marry Daneen Menke.

Daneen Menke is a dōTERRA Essential Oil Wellness Advocate and educator. Also, Daneen works at GCRL in the Benthic Ecology Lab. She has nearly 10 years’ experience of studying the benthic environment and the marine organisms that live in the sediments. Daneen’s experience includes teaching, running the student chemistry labs, and research. Daneen is from the Jackson area and has called the Mississippi Gulf Coast home for over 11 years.

Daneen was introduced to essential oils a little over a year ago by a friend. At the time Daneen was looking for a more natural way of living that would lead to a healthier and more productive life. Essential oils were perfect for this. Daneen ordered her oils, got them in the mail, and spent the next year trying to figure out what to do with them. Finally, Daneen agreed to meet with her friend again and scheduled to host a class. Soon after that, Daneen started sharing what she was learning about oils with her friends and family.She has discovered a love for sharing what she was learning. Walter was introduced to essential oils one evening when returning home from work. He opened the door to be meet with the aroma of fennel oil that Daneen had used in the crock pot for their evening meal. Soon after, Walter began helping Daneen use essential oils in cooking.Together they have learned a few things and want to share them with you. Daneen is on a mission to come up with creative new ways for people to use essential oils. So you too can experience and enjoy the physical and emotional benefits of essential oils.
